Sitecore containers support rapid Infrastructure-as-code deployment, with Kubernetes support for production, and Docker compose support for development. There are two new guides; one that describes how to install Sitecore XP on a developer workstation with containers and one that describes how to install Sitecore XP in a production environment with Kubernetes. There is also detailed guidance for developing and deploying with containers.
Headless development makes Sitecore solutions faster and easier to develop, maintain, scale, and upgrade by splitting them up into a Sitecore backend and a ASP.NET rendering host frontend. You can develop rendering hosts with the Sitecore ASP.NET Rendering SDK.
Content serialization has been made smarter and easier with a new set of tools for serializing, sharing, and deploying content items, and keeping them in version control. You can serialize content with the new Sitecore Command Line Interface or the Sitecore for Visual Studio plugin.

XM solutions now provide session-based and device-based personalization rules that do not depend on tracker or marketing definitions. For a list of which rules are available, see the documentation about personalization conditions.
EXM templates are now fully customizable, and three new templates have been added: Left Image Block, Right Image Block, and Image Focus.
You can now filter reports in Experience Analytics using marketing segments that are built into the List Manager, or your own segments.
