# Conditions

Developers can create custom conditions to turn complex code into a user-friendly interface for business users and marketers.

> Team members with a *User*, *Developer*, or *Admin* role in Sitecore Cloud Portal can create a custom condition.

Marketers can apply a condition to a full audience export as a filter. Filters help define exactly which part of the audience to include in the export. For example, a condition can be used to select only those guests of a segment who are associated with a specific country or region. All a marketer has to do is select the filter when [selecting an audience for an export](https://doc.sitecore.com/cdp/en/users/sitecore-cdp/developer-center/manage-audience-exports.html#UUID-4f7820d3-7a75-7b32-022b-fc55b35157e7 "Select an audience for an export"), eliminating the need to write or edit code.
