# Copy a connection to another tenant

Sitecore CDP lets you copy a connection from one tenant to another using the [Copy to tenant](https://doc.sitecore.com/personalize/en/users/sitecore-personalize/en/copying-entities-between-tenants.html) feature. For example, you can easily copy a connection from a non-production environment to a production environment. This process saves time and reduces errors from manual copying and pasting.

Team members with a *User*, *Developer*, or *Admin* role in Sitecore Cloud Portal can copy a connection between tenants.

To copy a connection to another tenant:

1. From the **Connections** page, open the connection you want to copy.
2. Click ![Vertical ellipsis](https://doc.sitecore.com/api/markdown-image/cdp/en/users/sitecore-cdp/images/DevCenterTemplateellipsisicon.png) > **Copy to tenant**.

3. Select a destination tenant from the drop-down list. The list only includes tenants you have access to. Click **Go**.
4. In the **Copy To Tenant** page, enter a unique name for the connection. Sitecore CDP automatically creates an ID when you name the connection.

    > [!important]
    > If a draft or published connection with the same name already exists in the destination tenant, to avoid conflicts, you can overwrite the connection or create a new one with a unique name.

5. Click **Create**. A message appears on the page confirming that the connection has been successfully copied. The copied connection opens in the code editor within the selected destination tenant.

You can either use the copy as is, or modify it as needed, without impacting the original connection.
