Walkthrough: Searching for a guest in Sitecore CDP

Describes how to search, filter, and sort guests in Sitecore CDP.

This walkthrough describes how to use JavaScript to:

  • Find a guest profile

  • Filter and sort guest search results

Find a guest profile

To search for a guest profile:

  1. On the navigation pane, click Customer Data, Guests. The Guests screen displays.

  2. In the Search field, enter the relevant search text. As you type characters, Sitecore CDP starts returning the relevant matches.

  3. Click the Search icon. Sitecore CDP returns all results that contain the entered search values.

Filter and sort guest search results

To filter and sort guests search results:

  1. If your organization passes Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data to Sitecore CDP, you can filter according to guest type. To filter by guest type, select one of the following guest types from the Guest Type drop-down list:

    • Customer

    • Traveller

    • Visitor

  2. To sort guests in alphabetical order or reverse alphabetical order according to their first name, click the arrow icon adjacent to the Guest column. This filter is only available for organizations that pass PII data to Sitecore CDP.

  3. Click the arrow icon adjacent to the First seen column to sort guests in ascending or descending order according to the date the guest was first seen by Sitecore CDP.

  4. Click the arrow icon adjacent to the Last seen column to sort guests in ascending or descending order according to the date the guest was last seen by Sitecore CDP.

  5. Click the arrow icons at the bottom of the table to see additional search results. You can view a guest profile by clicking a guest row.
