# Before you begin

During this Content Hub ONE starter kit tutorial, you’ll learn how to do everything from installing the starter kit to creating, updating, and viewing a website, giving you an overview of the entire developer journey.

To start off, let's go over the prerequisites.

- Ensure you have access to a Content Hub ONE instance.
- Install the latest version of [node.js](https://nodejs.org/en), including *npm* if you do not already have it.
- For Windows, install [Chocolatey](https://chocolatey.org/install) or a similar tool. For macOS, install [Homebrew](https://brew.sh/) or a similar tool. You can also use [Sublime](https://packagecontrol.io/), which is a cross-platform package manager.
- Install your preferred tools for running local Git commands, such as the [Github CLI](https://cli.github.com/manual/).

Then, install the [Content Hub ONE CLI](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch-one/en/developers/content-hub-one/build-a-website-with-the-starter-kit/install-the-content-hub-one-cli.md "Install the Content Hub ONE CLI") by running the following command.
