# Publish content or media

When you publish content or media, it becomes available in the delivery endpoint. If the content or media items have already been published, republishing them applies all pending changes.

> You can publish content from the **Content** page using the **More actions** ![More Actions icon](https://doc.sitecore.com/api/markdown-image/ch-one/en/users/content-hub-one/images/more-actions-chone.png) menu. Similarly, you can publish media items from the **Media** page.

> You can make changes to a content or media item while it is being published. These changes do not affect the current publication, and they are not live until you click **Republish**.

To publish content:

1. On the menu bar, click **Content**.
2. On the **Content** page, click the content you want to publish.
3. On the content details page, click **Publish**. This sets the status to **PUBLISHED**.
4. If the content item includes referenced content or images that are *not* published, in the **Publish** dialog:
    - To publish each referenced item, click **Open in new tab** ![open-in-new-chone.png](https://doc.sitecore.com/api/markdown-image/ch-one/en/users/content-hub-one/images/open-in-new-chone.png).
    - Alternatively, to only publish the content item without the referenced items, click **Publish**.

To publish a media item:

1. On the menu bar, click **Media**.
2. On the **Media** page, click the media item you want to publish.
3. On the media item details page, click **Publish**. This sets the media item status to **PUBLISHED**.
