# Create an action

In Sitecore Content Hub, you can create [actions](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/actions.html "Actions") to trigger various events.

> When creating an action to trigger a custom event, the name and label of the action must be the same as the event.

To create an action:

1. On the menu bar, click **Manage** :mdiCogOutline:.
2. On the **Manage** page, click **Actions**.
3. In the upper-right corner of the application window, click **New action**.
4. In the **New action** dialog, fill in the following fields:

    | Field name | Description | Mandatory |
    | --- | --- | --- |
    | **Name** | Name of the action. | Yes |
    | **Label** | Description of the action. | No |
    | **Type** | [Type of action.](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/action-types.html)<br><br>> [!note]<br>> The **New action** dialog will change depending on the action type you select. | No |

5. Click **Save**.
