# Fluent SDK

The Fluent SDK is a wrapper that builds on top of the existing SDKs and allows you to perform certain operations in a fluent manner.

> [!note]
> The Fluent SDK is available in [external integrations through the Web Client](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/web-client-sdk.html "Web Client SDK") as well as [internal integrations using scripts](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/work-with-scripts.html "Work with scripts") and it exposes objects of those underlying SDKs in some places.

To get started with the Fluent SDK, see:

- [Get started with the Fluent SDK](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/get-started.html "Get started")
- [Get started with the Web Client SDK](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/get-started-1523379.html "Get started") *(only required when working with external integrations)*
- [Write integration tests for your implementations](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/testing.html "Testing")

## API reference

The [API reference](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/overview.html "Overview") provides more information about the classes and the objects used by the Fluent SDK.

> [!note]
> Guidelines for throttling are available in the [Best practices](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/throttling.html "Throttling") section of the documentation. The Fluent SDK handles throttling internally and developers *do not* need to handle it in their code.
