# Policy

A Policy object represents a policy. It defines rules that apply specific permissions on entities for a specific user or usergroup.

It is an object with the following properties:

| `rules` | Array | An array containing [Rule objects](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/developers/cloud-dev/rule.html). |
