Custom Download

Version: 3.3

The custom download functionality lets you make professional standard edits on assets and create custom renditions.

Custom download provides you with both a list of preset dimensions (based on social media websites) to choose from and apply to your assets and the option to crop your assets manually.

A real-time preview shows you the expected result of the crop you want to apply to your asset before downloading it.

Single asset

You can download custom renditions of single assets from their detail pages.

To download a custom rendition:

  1. On the main menu bar, click Assets.
  2. On the Assets search page, find the asset you want to download.
  3. To open the asset detail page, click the asset tile.
  4. On the top-right of the asset detail page, click Download, then click Custom download download icon.
  5. Fill out the custom download parameters.
  6. If you want to save this custom download as a new rendition, switch on Save rendition, provide a Rendition name, and optionally a Description.
  7. Click Download.

Clicking Download creates a download order. You can follow the status of the download order you created on your Downloads page and download it when ready.

Mass download

You can download custom renditions of multiple assets at the same time by creating a download order.

To create a mass custom download order:

  1. On the main menu bar, click Assets.
  2. On the Assets search page, select the assets you want to download.
  3. On the top-right of the page, click Download download icon.
  4. On the Download options page, in the Download name field, provide a name for your download order.
  5. For each asset type present in your selection, in the rendition drop-down list, select Custom.
  6. Fill out the custom download parameters.
  7. Click Next.
  8. On the Confirm download dialog box, select I agree to the terms and conditions of use, then click Confirm.

Clicking Confirm redirects you to your Downloads page, where you can follow the status of the download order you created and download it when ready.

Note

You can create a download order containing several renditions by selecting multiple options in the rendition drop-down list.

Smart crop is a feature that intelligently examines the content of an image and automatically focuses on the most important part of an image for cropping. Smart crop provides an automatic search of the image for edges, skin tones, and areas of saturated color and attempts to position the crop box over the most significant feature. The width and height values specify the dimensions of the cropped area.
