# Build a budget

The **Budget** tab displays an overview of the budget line items added to the project and helps you track and categorize operating expenses as well as capital expenditures.

You create the budget by [adding budget line items](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/add-and-filter-budget-line-items.html "Add and filter budget line items"), which you can then view in a table or pivot table.
