# Configure Chart view settings

You can [configure a chart view](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/views.html#UUID-483fea56-8058-cee5-20e3-2d668bfa8b91_N1708001648321 "Chart") to display search results as a multi-dimensional chart with various aggregation operations and drilldown types.

There are three configuration tabs available in the **Chart** view:

> Using the **Search** component chart view, you cannot visualize audit data. Instead, use the [**Chart** component](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/chart.html "Chart").

## Data

On the **Data** tab, you can configure the source data populating the chart.

To configure the source data:

1. Set the **Principal dimension** parameters:

    | Field | Type | Description | Value | Mandatory/Optional |
    | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
    | **Dimension** | Drop-down list | Selects the data that feeds the chart | List of possible dimensions | Mandatory |
    | **Include missing values** | Toggle switch | If enabled, includes missing values in the chart | *Enabled/Disabled* | Optional |
    | **Top** | Drop-down list | Filters out a subset of the entire data results | *Top all / Top 5 / Top 10 / Top 25 / Top 50 / Top 250 / Top 500* | Mandatory (for non-time dimensions) |
    | **Interval** | Drop-down list | Sets the interval period to represent time dimensions | *Hour / Day / Month / Year* | Mandatory (for time dimensions only) |

2. *(Optional)* Add a second dimension: in the **Group by** section, set the secondary dimension parameters in the same manner as the main dimension.
3. To add an aggregation, in the **Options** section, set the following parameters:

    | Field | Type | Description | Value | Mandatory/Optional |

    | **Aggregation type** | Drop-down list | Selects the aggregation type to apply | *Count / Average / Sum / Min /Max* | Mandatory |
    | **Aggregation member** | Drop-down list | Defines the aggregation member | *Asset.DrmComplexity / FileSize / AverageRating* | Mandatory (not required for *Count* aggregation type) |
    | **Sorting** | Drop-down list | Sorts the results alphabetically or metrically | *Alphabetical/Metric* | Mandatory |
    | **Order** | Drop-down list | Sorts the results in ascending or descending order | *Ascending/Descending* | Mandatory |

## Chart settings

On the **Chart settings** tab, you can set the display options.

The display parameters are:

| Field | Type | Description | Value | Mandatory/Optional |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Chart type** | Drop-down list | Selects the chart type | *Number / Column / Line / Pie / Donut* | Mandatory |
| **Metric label** | String | Custom label for the y-axis of the chart. | String value | Optional |
| **Enable legend** | Toggle switch | Displays data about the datasets appearing on the chart (enabled by *default*) | *Enabled/Disabled* | Optional |
| **Enable download** | Toggle switch | Allows you to download the chart | *Enabled/Disabled* | Optional |

## Drilldown options

In the **Drilldown types options** list, select one of the following options:

1. *None*: does not set a drilldown option.
2. *Inline*: sets an inline drilldown.
3. *Redirect to*: sets a redirect to drilldown.

## Inline

The *Inline* drilldown requires a [**table**](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/views.html "Views") view on the **Search** component. It displays a detailed list of entities corresponding to the dimensional values of the selected chart element.

## Redirect to

The *Redirect to* drilldown redirects you to another page.

To define the redirection page:

1. Click :mdiPlus: **Add**.
2. In the drop-down list, select the redirection page.
3. Click **Select page to redirect to**.
