Add, modify, or delete page components This functionality requires elevated permissions

After you create a page or subpage, you see the title of the page and the page breadcrumbs displayed in the right pane and, on the Layout tab, you see the page zones. You build your page by adding page components, which hold the content you want to deliver to your site.

Note

When you configure page components, the available options vary according to the page type (Blank page, Detail page, or a page created From template).

Important

For performance reasons, we recommend that the number of page components per page be kept below 200 and that you use tabs so that data is loaded when a tab is selected and not all at once. Remove unused components.

Add a page component

To add a page component:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage manage icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. In the left pane, select the page to which you want to add a page component.

  4. In the right pane, click the Layout tab.

  5. In the zone where you want to add a page component, click plus sign.

  6. In the Add component dialog, select the component you want to add and then click Add.

  7. In the Add component dialog, enter a title for each page component.

  8. Turn on the Visible switch if you want the component to be displayed on the page.

  9. For Entity details components only, from the UI visibility drop-down list, select whether the component is visible on the interface always, only in edit mode, or only in read mode.

  10. Click Add.

  11. To move a component to a new location, click the drag and drop icon and drag the component to a new location.
