Entity indicators This functionality requires elevated permissions.

The Entity indicators component highlights information about an entity, for example when the entity is a Draft, is Locked, or has been Rejected. The component can include multiple indicators, each indicating distinct information about the entity and only appearing when a specific condition is met.

Example

To add an Entity indicators component:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage .

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. On the Pages page, select the details page you want to modify.

  4. On the Layout tab, add the page component.

  5. Click the component to open its detail page.

  6. On the component detail page, click Add indicator and, from the list, select one of the following indicators:

    Cover imageisMaster Cover image. The entity is a cover image.
    Draftdraft Draft icon. The entity is a draft.
    Duplicates existduplicate Duplicates icon. The entity is a duplicate file. To see the duplicate file ID and type, next to the image thumbnail, click All files More Actions icon. > Show duplicate files.
    Locklock Closed lock. The entity is locked and cannot be changed.
    Processingprocess Process icon. The entity is currently being processed.
    Publishing statuspublishingStatus Publishing status. The entity's publishing status (for example, Ready to publish and Published).
    Read onlyreadOnly Read only icon. The entity is read-only.
    Rejectedrejected Read only icon. The entity was rejected.
    Linked assets have been changedlinkedAssetParentSync Linked assets have been changed icon. The asset has at least one child linked to a more recent main file. Restricted to M.Asset entities. Applies only to Adobe InDesign files.
    CustomcustomIndicator Wrench icon. A custom indicator, which can be configured based on a string, integer, or boolean value so that it only appears when a specific condition is met.
  7. In the DISPLAY SETTINGS section, define the following properties.

    Display formatThe format of the indicator (icon, label, or icon + label).
    IconIcon of the indicator when the format is icon or icon + label.
    TitleIndicator text used for the tooltip or label.
    ColorColor of the icon or label. Gray by default.
    Display ifFor a Custom indicator, use this section to specify the condition required for the indicator to appear. An example of this is displaying an indicator if a selected product is a variant.
    relationToMasterFor a Cover image indicator, which relation to display if the entity is the master version.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you have added all the indicators you want.

  9. Click Save.

Tip

You can add or remove indicators later by editing this component as needed.
