Organize components on a page This functionality requires elevated permissions.

Sitecore Content Hub includes page components to help you organize content on a page. This includes the following components:

Container

The Container component is a component holder. By default, components added to a Container are nested. In the following example, the Video subtitles section is created using a container and holds a Creation component and a Search component.

Divider

The Divider component lets you create a visual separation between content on a page. In the following example, a dividing line separates

Note

To change the Divider title, on the component detail page, click Edit and, in the Title field, update the title as required. You can ignore the Data parameter.

Tabs

The Tabs component lets you organize content on tabs. In the following example, content is organized on a Details tab, a Product tab, and an Asset tab.

A tab behaves in a similar fashion to a page. This means you can:

You can change the order of the tabs by clicking the Drag and drop. icon.

Note

When you delete a tab, all content defined inside the tab is also deleted.

To add a Tabs component:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage .

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. On the Pages page, in the left pane, select the page where you want the Tabs component (for example, the Content detail page).

  4. On the Layout tab, in the appropriate zone, add a Tabs component.

  5. Click the component to open the component details page and then click New tab.

  6. In the New tab dialog box, set the following parameters:

    FieldDescription
    NameName display on the tab.
    VisibleTurn the switch on to display the tab.
    PermissionSets the user permission required on the linked entity definition for the tab to be visible. Thie field is only available on detail pages.
  7. Click Create.

Important

The Permission parameter relates to the entity definition defined for the detail page. To see a Tabs component, you need Read permission on both the entity definition and on the portal page.
