# Configure email notification settings

> To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through [user group policies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/user-group-policies.html "User group policies").

You can configure Sitecore Content Hub to send an [email notification](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/manage-your-notifications.html "Manage your notifications") when a specific event occurs. Every email notification sent is assigned a default sender name and email address. You can change either of these defaults as required.

To configure email notification settings:

1. On the menu bar, click **Manage** :mdiCogOutline:.
2. On the **Manage** page, click **Settings**.
3. On the **Settings** page, select **Email**.
4. Fill in the following fields:

    | Field | Description | Mandatory |
    | --- | --- | --- |
    | **DefaultSender** | Sender address used for all email notifications. IP addresses are not allowed. This address must belong to a domain that is managed by your organization. | Yes |
    | **DefaultSenderName** | Name of the sender. | No |
    | **DefaultReplyTo** | Email address for replies to email notifications from Content Hub. For example, replies to a notification that a task has been assigned or that an order is ready. | No |

5. Click **Save**.
