# Configure rendition settings

Rendition settings relate to asset media processing. You can configure one of these settings, the `ImportMetadataConfiguration` setting to edit the mappings between the metadata in uploaded files and asset properties. The metadata configuration is a JSON file containing metadata properties retrieved from the uploaded file, and the asset properties to which the metadata is to be mapped.

To configure rendition settings:

1. On the menu bar, click **Manage** :mdiCogOutline:.
2. On the **Manage** page, click **Settings**.
3. On the **Settings** page, select the `ImportMetadataConfiguration` setting.
4. Edit the setting according to the [metadata setting structure](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/metadata-setting-structure.html "Metadata setting structure").
5. Click **Save**.
