# Configure the Search component

> To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through [user group policies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/user-group-policies.html "User group policies").

For [News items](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/news-items.html "News items") to be published on a page, you must configure a [**Search** component](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/search.html "Search"):

1. On the menu bar, click **Manage** :mdiCogOutline:.
2. On the **Manage** page, click **Pages**.
3. On the **Pages** page, select the page you want to configure.
4. If the page is blank, [add a Title component](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/title.html "Title").
5. [Add a Search component](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/search.html "Search") and then click it.
6. On the component's details page, in the **Filters** section, add the *News item* definition as a filter.
7. Click **Save**.
8. In the left pane, in the **Views** section, turn on the **Inline preview** and **Grid** switches.
9. Select **Inline preview** and then, under **Template**, select your preferred template.
10. In the **Fields**, tab, click :mdiPlus: **Add field** and fill in the following fields:

    | Field name | Value |
    | --- | --- |
    | **Field** | Title (NewsItemTitle) |
    | **Display format** | Text |

11. Click **Save**.
12. Click :mdiPlus: **Add field** again and fill in the following fields:

    | Field name | Value |
    | --- | --- |
    | **Field** | Description (NewsItemDescription) |
    | **Display format** | HTML |

13. Click **Save**.
14. Select **Grid** and then select which **Grid sizes** to make available to users. Change the **Default grid size** if needed.
15. On the **Template** tab, select your preferred template.
16. On the **Operations** tab, click **Add operation** and then click **Inline preview**.
17. On the **Fields** tab, click :mdiPlus: **Add field** and fill in the following fields:

    | Field name | Value |
    | --- | --- |
    | **Field** | Title (NewsItemTitle) |
    | **Display format** | Text |

18. Click **Save**.
19. Click **Save and close**.
