# Create a smart brief

> AI capabilities in Content Hub need to be enabled and, if necessary, configured by a *superuser* or a user with the necessary permissions granted to them through [user group policies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/user-group-policies.html "User group policies"). Most AI capabilities require Sitecore Stream.

When you create a [smart brief](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/ai-assisted-smart-brief-generation.html "AI-assisted smart brief generation"), you can add content manually or [use the AI Assistant](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/generate-brief-content-using-ai.html "Generate brief content using AI") to help.

To collaborate on the brief, you can [create and assign to-do tasks](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/create-and-assign-a-to-do-task.html "Create and assign a to-do task") to those working on the brief. You can also add reviewers who can review and [comment on the brief](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/add-comments-to-a-brief.html "Add comments to a brief").

To generate a smart brief:

1. On the menu bar, click **Content Ops**.
2. On the **Content Operations** page, click :mdiPlus: **Create** > **Brief**.
3. In the **Create brief** dialog, click the brief type you want to use. The default **Creative brief** type contains examples of all the field types supported.
4. On the brief details page, fill in the fields as required. Depending on the field type, the AI Assistant can help you write text, find taxonomies, and build a timeline of milestones.
5. After making your desired changes, click **Save**.
