# Create an AI profile

> [!important]
> AI capabilities in Content Hub need to be enabled and, if necessary, configured by a *superuser* or a user with the necessary permissions granted to them through [user group policies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/user-group-policies.html "User group policies"). Most AI capabilities require Sitecore Stream.

To use the [AI-assisted metadata enrichment](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/ai-assisted-metadata-enrichment.html "AI-assisted metadata enrichment") feature, you need an AI profile, which defines the connector to use when enriching image metadata and the taxonomies for which you want AI suggestions. It also defines how alt text is generated.

> [!note]
> If you have Sitecore Stream Premium, a default AI profile called *Default AI profile* is created when you enable the metadata enrichment feature and select the Sitecore-AI connector. You can edit the default profile or create profiles specific to your use cases. You cannot delete the default AI profile.

To configure an AI profile:

1. On the menu bar, click **Manage** :mdiCogOutline:.
2. On the **Manage** page, click **AI features**.
3. In the left pane, click **Metadata enrichment**.
4. In the right pane, click **Enable**.
5. To add an AI profile, click :mdiPlus: **Add AI profile**.
6. In the **Add AI profile** dialog, in the **Name** field, enter a name for the profile.
7. In the **Connector** field, click **Add** :mdiPlus:.
8. In the **Connector** dialog:
    - To use Sitecore AI, click the **Sitecore-AI** option. The Sitecore AI connector and default AI profile are only available with Stream Premium.
    - To use your own AI, click the appropriate option in the list.
9. Click **Save**.
10. If you selected the **Sitecore-AI** connector, in the **Fields** section, select the check boxes next to the taxonomy fields for which you want AI to make suggestions.
11. If you selected [your own AI connector](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/connect-to-your-own-ai-service.html "Connect to your own AI service"):
    - In the **AI input script** field, click **Add** :mdiPlus: and, in the **AI input script** dialog, click the processing script you want to use, and click **Save**.
    - In the **AI result script** field, click **Add** :mdiPlus: and, in the **AI result script** dialog, click the processing script you want to use, and click **Save**.
12. To create another profile, select the **Create another** check box.
13. Click **Save**.

> [!note]
> [Taxonomies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/create-a-taxonomy.html "Create a taxonomy") are only available when using the **Sitecore-AI connector** and are only displayed in the **Fields** section if they've been [added to the M.Asset definition](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/edit-an-entity-details-page.html "Edit an entity details page"). You can exclude specific taxonomies from being displayed in the dialog by clicking **Manage** :mdiCogOutline: on the menu bar, clicking **Settings** > **SitecoreAI** > **ImageTagging** and then modifying the list of taxonomies. By default, the list of excluded taxonomies contains various taxonomies not typically relevant to image tagging.
>
> When creating an AI profile, you can select as many taxonomies as you want, as long as the total number of taxonomy values across all selected taxonomies doesn't exceed 2000.
