# Enable AI-assisted metadata enrichment

> AI capabilities in Content Hub need to be enabled and, if necessary, configured by a *superuser* or a user with the necessary permissions granted to them through [user group policies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/user-group-policies.html "User group policies"). Most AI capabilities require Sitecore Stream.

Metadata enrichment helps you to apply accurate, consistent, and context-aware tags to your images. Good image metadata improves the searchability of images and ensures metadata aligns with the needs of your organization.

Before you can [add image metadata using AI](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/add-image-metadata-using-ai.html "Add image metadata using AI"), the feature must enabled by a *superuser* and [an AI profile](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/create-an-ai-profile.html "Create an AI profile") needs to be created if you don't want to use the default profile.

When you enable metadata enrichment, the **Enrich with AI** :mdiStarFourPoints: [operation](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/assets-operations.html "Assets operations") is available on asset details pages from the **More actions** :mdiDotsHorizontal: menu.

To enable metadata enrichment:

1. On the menu bar, click **Manage** :mdiCogOutline:.
2. On the **Manage** page, click **AI features**.
3. In the left pane, click **Metadata enrichment**.
4. In the right pane, click **Enable**.
