# Media processing

When you upload media assets, they go through a conversion process, called a [processing flow](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/create-processing-flows.html "Create processing flows"), which renders them according to predefined configurations. Processing flows contain [processing tasks](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/create-a-processing-task.html "Create a processing task") and are grouped into [sets](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/create-media-processing-sets.html "Create media processing sets").

Besides editing processing flows and tasks, Sitecore Content Hub lets you configure the processing of media assets in multiple ways, including:

- [Creating custom color profiles](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/add-color-profiles.html "Add color profiles")
- [Editing ordering profiles](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/edit-ordering-profiles.html "Edit ordering profiles")
- [Generating delivery and gateway links](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/delivery-and-gateway-links.html "Delivery and gateway links")
- [Setting up watermarking](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/watermarking.html "Watermarking")
- [Extracting metadata](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/extract-metadata.html "Extract metadata")
