# Refresh renditions

In Sitecore Content Hub, the **[Refresh renditions](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/operations.html "Operations")** operation lets you perform a mass refresh of asset renditions after an update so that you're sure to download the latest ones.

To refresh renditions:

1. On the menu bar, click **Assets**.
2. On the **Assets** page, [select](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/select-entities.html "Select entities") the assets for which you want to refresh renditions.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click **Actions** :mdiDotsHorizontal: **\>** **Refresh renditions** :mdiRefresh:.
4. On the **Refresh renditions** page, turn on the available options as needed.

    | Option | Description |
    | --- | --- |
    | **Failed only** | Refreshes only the renditions that are in *Failed* state. If turned off, all renditions are refreshed. |
    | **File history** | Refreshes all the files [uploaded as new versions](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/upload-a-new-version.html) of an asset from the **Asset details** page. |
    | **Subfiles** | Refreshes all the files extracted from an [archived asset](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/archive.html) folder (such as `zip` or `rar`). |
    | **User renditions** | Refreshes all the asset renditions created by users. |
    | **Remove obsolete** | Deletes the renditions that are no longer referenced in a [media matrix](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/conversion-matrix-structure.html) or part of a [public link](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/public-links.html). |
    | **Embeddings** | Adds the [embeddings renditions](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/understanding-ai-services.html) used in visual search. This option is only available when [visual search is enabled](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/enable-visual-search.html). |

5. Click **Submit**.
