# Search, filter, and select

Sitecore Content Hub provides extensive search, filter, and selection features. You can use these to locate assets, content, projects, collections, and more. Besides item names, the full-text search can read metadata, letting you find items based on their keywords. The search field includes autocomplete functionality, saving you time by providing search suggestions as you type.

> [!note]
> To make it easier to find something, you can [sort page content](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/sort-page-content.html "Sort page content") or [change how page content is displayed](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/change-the-layout-of-page-content.html "Change the layout of page content").

## Search features

Using the basic **Search** field, you can quickly perform a search by entering a keyword or phrase. You can use operators such as AND or OR but these operators must be uppercase (although the full-text search itself is not case-sensitive). *fruitful AND lime* is an example of a valid search string. When you enter multiple keywords into the **Search** field and press Enter, each keyword is displayed in the **APPLIED FILTERS** section. You can remove a keyword by clicking the **X**.

You can [create more complex filters](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/apply-advanced-filters.html "Apply advanced filters") using the options on the **Advanced** tab. After searching assets, you can [save your search](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/manage-saved-searches.html "Manage saved searches") letting you quickly perform it again later as needed.

> [!note]
> Using the [AI-assisted visual search](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/ai-assisted-search.html "AI-assisted search"), you can search for assets based on the image color and other visual cues.

> [!note]
> Pagination appears at the bottom of search results only when 40 or more items are shown, to reduce clutter.

## Filter features

To narrow down page content so you can more easily find what you are looking for, you can [apply a filter](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/apply-preset-filters.html "Apply preset filters"). For example, if a page lists both documents and images, you can apply a filter to display only one of these file types.

## Select features

To perform an operation on multiple entities at the same time, or to share a subset of your digital content, you can [select entities](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/select-entities.html "Select entities"). After making a selection you can [save it](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/manage-saved-selections.html "Manage saved selections"), letting you share and re-use it later.
