# Select entities

When a Sitecore Content Hub page contains a **Search** component (such as the **Assets**, **Create**, or the content **Search** pages), you can select the assets or entities you want to perform operations on.

To select assets or entities:

1. On the Content Hub page, do one of the following:
    - To select an individual asset or entity, select the **Add to selection** check box.
    - To select multiple assets or entities next to each other, click and drag the cursor over the assets or entities you want to select.
    - To select multiple assets that are apart, hold down the CTRL key and select the **Add to selection** check box on the assets or entities you want to select.
    - To select all assets or entities, in the upper-right corner of the application window, click the drop-down arrow and click **Select all**. The number of entities currently selected appears next to the **Select all** check box.
2. On the menu bar, click an action (such as **Download** or **Add to saved search**).

> Your selection is specific to a page, a collection, or a block. For example, you can select entities on the **Create** page and have a different selection on the **Content** page. All selections expire after 24 hours unless you change them manually.

> To clear your selection, in the upper-right corner of the application window, click the drop-down arrow and click **Select none**.
