# Upload and use custom icons

> [!note]
> To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through [user group policies](https://doc.sitecore.com/ch/en/users/content-hub/user-group-policies.html "User group policies").

If you have your own set of custom `.svg` icons, you can upload and use them in Sitecore Content Hub.

> [!note]
> Icon overrides are not supported on pages that are rendered in Knockout. To override icons on pages rendered in Knockout, use a custom CSS. Icon overrides are supported on pages that are rendered in React, or in Hybrid mode.

To display correctly, your `.svg` icon files must use only the following:

- Compound paths - shapes like `rect` or `circle` with dimensions are not supported.
- The color black.
- Strokes or fills - other CSS properties are not supported.
