Cache

Version: 3.2

The cache page allows users to clear specific caches in the web server environment. A cache is a place used to store active data temporarily in the local cache of the environment such as web pages, text, images etc. in order to shorten data access times and to improve performance.

This capability is provided to apply / enforce configuration changes of Sitecore Content Hub's environment.

The following options are present::

  • Clear search cache : Intended for clearing the server cache in case of query or search settings / default changes, or change of dynamic user filters, change of cultures etc.

  • Clear navigation cache : In case of changes in menu items. For example, when changing menu tiles or home page tiles.

  • Clear policies cache : To be used in case of user group policy or security changes.

  • Clear pages cache : In case of user agreement changes, changes of page components and controllers. For example, when changing the facet tree with the entity manager.

  • Clear option lists cache: When editing / saving / deleting data sources

  • Clear Aggregates cache: Whenever editing aggregate entities of entity definitions.

  • Clear Settings cache: When delivery url's are edited

  • Translations cache: when importing new portal translations

Clear all caches will clear all of the above at once.

For example, when the security policies are modified for a certain user group, the policies cache needs to be cleared in order for the changes to take effect.
