Annotate
An annotation task type has the purpose of requesting annotations from the assigned users on the selected assets.
The assigned user can click the annotation button on the thumbnail of the asset to start making annotations.
As with the previous task type, this task type requires content to be attached.
Depending on the media type of your content, different Annotation options are available. Subsequent to the creation of an annotation, the action button will display a count label to demonstrate that the asset has a annotation(s)
Image annotations
If the Asset is an image, users will see the following annotation window:
To start annotating, users simply click on "
The annotations are listed in the table on the right.
If all annotations are done, users click on "Stop annotating" to save the annotations.
Document annotations
Documents include all Asset types that combine images with text, such as word files, pdf files, or layouts such as Illustrator or InDesign.
Users can make a square annotation on the document just like previously done on images with the
button.
With the
button, users can also select a text on which they want to annotate.
The annotations of the document are listed on the left. When users click on
, a window pops up where they can edit the annotation or comment on it.
If users cannot select text, it may be that the Asset has the text converted to curves, as is sometimes the case with PDF files provided for print.
Fragment annotation
Users can also make annotations on Fragments.
By clicking on Annotate, users can start making annotations. They then proceed to select the section of the text for the annotation.
Users fill in their annotation message and click Add.
Clicking on Stop Annotating finalizes the annotations.
Users can also reply to an annotation by clicking on the detail button of the annotation.
