Set up the EXM structure for the storefront site

Current version: 10.0

Each storefront site must have its own email folder that contains the email message template. This structure is created by default for the Storefront Abandoned Cart and the Storefront New Order Placed marketing automation campaigns. If you did not select the Storefront marketing automation campaigns during site creation and are, instead, designing your own marketing automation campaign, you must set up the EXM structure.

To set up the Storefront email structure:

  1. On the Sitecore Launchpad, click Content Editor.

  2. In the Content Editor, go to sitecore/Content/<tenant>/<site>, right-click <site>, and click Insert, Insert from template.

  3. On the Browse tab, in the Template field, go to Templates/Branches/System/Email, and click Manager Root.

  4. In the Item Name field, specify the item name, which should use the following naming convention <site name> Emails (for example, Storefront Emails), and then click Insert.

  5. In the content tree, select the newly created item (for example, Storefront Emails) and, on the Content tab, in the Message Generation section, click the Embed Images check box.

  6. In the content tree, go to sitecore/Content/<tenant>/<site>/<<site> Emails>/Message Types/Automated Message, and click Default.
