View your Managed Cloud consumption

Current version: 10.0

You can access Managed Cloud in the Sitecore Support Self-Service Portal to review your usage. If you have a pool-based or a slot-based agreement, the view of your Managed Cloud consumption will differ slightly, based on the type of subscription you have.

To view the overall usage and monthly consumption of your Managed Cloud service:

  1. Go to the Sitecore Support Self-Service Portal (sitecore.service-now.com/csm) and log in using your Sitecore Portal credentials.

    Note

By default, the primary and technical contacts from your Managed Cloud agreement can only access the consumption application from their respective e-mail accounts. For additional users to access the Managed Cloud Consumption application, you must submit an appropriate request.

If you do not currently have access to the Sitecore Support Self-Service Portal then contact the primary or secondary contact on your Managed Cloud contract.

  2. Click Cloud Consumption to open the consumption application.

If you have a pool-based or a slot-based agreement, the view of your Managed Cloud consumption differs slightly, based on the type of subscription you have.

View your slot-based consumption

To view your Managed Cloud consumption from a slot-based view:

  1. On the main dashboard, in the Select Service type drop-down list, click Managed cloud.

  2. In the Show Managed Cloud consumption drop-down list, select the account that you want to view.

  3. In the Managed Cloud data table, look at the columns to see the monthly consumption associated with each slot. The Provisioned slots summary on the right shows the total consumption of each slot (Total spend), and provides information about the corresponding Managed Cloud agreement that applies to that particular slot.

    Note

The payment cycle is measured in months and is the commitment period of the agreement associated with this slot. Sitecore uses this to calculate the cycle quota. In the following example, the payment cycle associated with this slot is 12 months.

For example, the summary for the monthly consumption includes the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    Total spend

The total consumption accumulated for this slot in this payment period to date in USD. All consumption is recorded in USD, regardless of the currency associated with your agreement.

    Period quota for slot

The amount of consumption specified for a payment cycle before Sitecore applies an overage.

    Slot start date

The start of the current cycle.

    Slot ID

The unique hexadecimal identification of your specific deployment.

    Type

This is either Production or Non-Production.

    Service level

This is either Standard or Premium.

    Overage multiplier

If your consumption exceeds the cycle quota within a payment cycle, Sitecore invoices your organization for the consumption that runs over the cycle quota. This extra consumption is multiplied by the cycle quota on a monthly basis until the payment cycle ends and a new period begins.

    Topology

The Sitecore product you are using, (for example, XM, XP, xDB).

    Size

The size that you are scaling your solution to.

    Sitecore version

The version of Sitecore running in the slot, if known.

    Status

The status shows Active if you are using a slot or Inactive if you have purchased an agreement but do not yet have anything in the slot.

View your pool-based consumption

If you have a pool-based subscription, you can view your monthly consumption for individual slots, or for each Standard /Premium pool that you have.

To review your consumption from a pool-based view:

  1. On the main dashboard, in the Select Service type drop-down list, click Managed cloud.

  2. With a pool-based subscription, you can switch between the two different views. In the Show Managed Cloud consumptiondrop-down list, select the account that you want to view.

  3. In the Managed Cloud data table, refer to each column to see the monthly consumption associated with each pool (Standard or Premium). The Pools summary on the right shows the total consumption of each pool (Total spend), and provides information about the corresponding Managed Cloud agreement that applies to that particular pool.

    Note

The payment cycle is measured in months and is the commitment period of the agreement associated with that pool. Sitecore uses this to calculate the cycle quota. In the following example, the payment cycle associated with these pools is 12 months.

The summary for the Standard Pool monthly consumption, for example, includes the following fields:

    • Total spend – The total consumption accumulated for the Standard pool in this payment period to date in USD. All consumption is recorded in USD, regardless of the currency associated with your agreement.

    • Period quota for pool – The amount of consumption specified for a payment cycle before Sitecore applies an overage.

    • Agreement start date – The start of the current cycle.

    • Service level – This is either Standard or Premium.

    • Overage multiplier – If your consumption exceeds the cycle quota within a payment cycle, Sitecore invoices your organization for the consumption that runs over the cycle quota. This extra consumption is multiplied by the cycle quota on a monthly basis until the payment cycle ends and a new period begins.

Note

The slot tiles in a pool-based agreement do not include the Period quota and Overage multiplier fields because these values are applied per pool (not per slot).
