# Funnel events

On any e-commerce site, a path to purchasing a product is naturally always present. Sitecore Discover's platform enables you to publish `add to cart`, `add to wishlist`, and `order` events. Publishing these events helps us rank, recommend, personalize, and analyze the performance of multiple attributable objects across the site.

Funnel events must be published to Discover whether or not a Discover Experience has been interacted with as part of a given customer converted visit (a visit where a customer purchases a product).
