# The Customer Engagement Console

Sitecore Discover provides developer tools in the [Customer Engagement Console (CEC)](https://account.sitecorecloud.io/login/?redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fcec.sitecorecloud.io&scope=%5B%22portal%22%2C%22search-rec%22%2C%22admin%22%2C%22internal%22%2C%22util%22%2C%22discover%22%2C%22event%22%2C%22ingestion%22%5D) that you can use to learn about and test our services.

The **Developer Resources** section of the CEC provides the following tabs for API information or to test queries:

- [API access](https://doc.sitecore.com/discover/en/developers/discover-developer-guide/the-customer-engagement-console/the-api-access-tab.html "The API Access tab") - page that provides important information about accessing the APIs, including API keys, first-party URLs, SFTP credentials, and so on.
- [API explorer](https://doc.sitecore.com/discover/en/developers/discover-developer-guide/the-customer-engagement-console/the-api-explorer-tab.html "The API Explorer tab") - tool for learning how to make runtime experience requests and how the responses to those requests are formatted. Also for learning how to interact with the search and recommendation API.
- [Event builder](https://doc.sitecore.com/discover/en/developers/discover-developer-guide/the-customer-engagement-console/using-the-event-builder.html "Using the Event Builder") - tool for creating and validating events.
- [Event monitor](https://doc.sitecore.com/discover/en/developers/discover-developer-guide/the-customer-engagement-console/using-the-event-monitor.html "Using the Event Monitor") - tool for verifying that you have implemented an experience correctly and that it is publishing events to Discover from user interactions on your live website.
