# Create a widget variation of a recommendation widget

In Sitecore Discover, for all widget types, the procedure to create widget variation of a widget, is the same.

To create a widget variation of a recommendation widget:

1. In the Customer Engagement Console (CEC), on the menu bar, click **Widgets**.
2. On the **Widgets** tab, click the name of the recommendation widget you want to open.
3. On the **Widget Variations** tab, click **Add Variation**.
4. In the input text field, enter a name for the new variation that is easy to identify.
5. Turn on the **Make this as a default variation** switch.
6. Click **Save**.
7. Click **Publish**.
