# Customize the order of facets in a search results widget

Visitors use facets in results to filter products in a search widget. Facet data is received in the default order configured in the Customer Engagement Console (CEC). The facets ordering rule applies as long as a site visitor context rule does not restrict it.

To customize the order of facets in a search results widget:

1. In the CEC, on the menu bar, click **Widgets**.
2. On the **Widgets** tab, click the search results widget you want to open.
3. On the **Widget Variations** tab, click the variation you want to open.
4. On the **Rules** tab, click **Add Rule**.
5. On the menu bar, click **Settings**.
6. On the **Facets** tab, turn on the **Enable Configuration** switch.
7. To reorder the facets, drag them up or down.
8. Click **Save**.
9. Click **Publish**.
