# Walkthrough: Adding a brand in a different brand's search results

In Sitecore Discover, you can tackle merchandising use cases, such as cross-selling, by using multiple [merchandising options](https://doc.sitecore.com/discover/en/users/discover-user-guide/en/widget-variation-rules.html) in a rule. This walkthrough describes a scenario where products of Brand A are added to the results that boost the products of Brand B.

This walkthrough describes how to:

- Boost products using attributes in a search results widget.
- Pin a brand in a search results widget.

On the merchandising tabs, you can quickly define rules using attributes. The rule, essentially, applies to all the slots of the widget. In the following procedure, we boost *Brand B* products in a search results widget.

To boost *Brand B* products using the attributes drop-down in a search results widget with *rfkid_15* as `id`:

1. In the Customer Engagement Console (CEC), on the menu bar, click **Widgets**.
2. On the **Widgets** tab, to open the search results widget with *rfkid_15* as ID, click its name.
3. On the **Widget Variations** tab, click **Add Variation**. Enter an easy to identify name for the new variation, for example, *Boosted Brand B*.
4. Turn on the **Make this as a default variation** switch and click **Save**.
5. Click **Save**.
6. On the **Rules** tab, click **Add Rule**.
7. On the menu bar, click **Merchandising**.
8. In the left pane of the **Merchandising** page, click the **Boost Rules** tab.
9. Click **Add attribute** and in the list, click *Brand*.
10. In the operators drop-down menu, select *Is*.
11. To set the attribute value, in the text box, enter *Brand B*.
