Assign a content item to a component in Horizon

Current version: 10.1

When you add a component to a page, the component presents data that is saved on the page. You can assign a content item to the component, or you can create a content item to use as the data source for the component. Then changes you make to the content are saved to the content item, and the content can be shared between different pages.

You can also use this procedure to assign a different content item to a component that already has a content item assigned to it.

To assign a content item to a component:

  1. Open the page in the page editor, and select the component that you want to assign a content item to.

  2. In the right-hand pane, click Browse.

  3. In the Assign content item dialog box, select the relevant content item and click Assign.

Note

You cannot assign a content item to a non-editable component, or change the content item associated with a non-editable component.
