Introduction to integrating Sitecore OrderCloud with Sitecore Send

Abstract

An introduction to configuring an integration between Sitecore OrderCloud and Sitecore Send to automate personalized email to engage with OrderCloud marketplace users.

Integrating Sitecore OrderCloud with Sitecore Send means you can use automated email marketing campaigns and trigger marketing automation workflows on your OrderCloud marketplaces.

The OrderCloud portal lets you configure this integration through a user interface, without the need to write any code.

At a high level, the process for integrating Sitecore Send personalized email automation with an OrderCloud marketplace is as follows:

  • You determine which user interactions with your OrderCloud marketplace should generate commerce events to trigger automated email campaigns in Sitecore Send.

  • You configure a connection between an OrderCloud marketplace API client and the Sitecore Send website.

    Note

    You have to configure an API client on the OrderCloud marketplace before you configure the connection to Sitecore Send.

  • You configure the OrderCloud events in the OrderCloud portal.
