Add, edit, move, and delete output columns in a decision table

Sitecore Personalize enables you to use a decision table to return offers and content as output to experiments. This topic describes how to add, edit, move, and delete output columns so you can manage outputs.

Add an output column to a decision table

You can add additional output columns to a decision table when you want to include new outputs in your rule. You must add a new output column before you can add new outputs.

To add an output column:

  1. On the Decision Table tab, in the Output column, click Add Output Column.

  2. Configure the output column.

  3. Click Save.

Edit an output column in a decision table

You can edit an output column if you want to change the name of the output column, the type of outputs you can enter when adding a rule, or the output reference.

To edit an output column in a decision table:

  1. On the Decision Table tab, click the Gear icon next to the header of the output column you want to edit.

The Add Output column window displays.

  2. Configure the output column.

  3. Click Save.

    Warning

Changing the type of an output column, for example, changing the type from string to integer, deletes all output values from the output column.

Move an output column in a decision table

You can move an output column in a decision table if you want to rearrange the order of the output columns. The order of the output columns does not affect how Sitecore CDP evaluates the rule.

To move an output column:

  1. From the Decision Table tab, click and drag the output column to the new destination.

  2. Click Save.

Delete an output column from a decision table

You can delete an output column from a decision table when you are certain you will no longer require the outputs captured in that column. You must have at least one output column in a decision table. Sitecore CDP does not allow you to delete the last output column.

To delete an output column:

  1. On the Decision Table tab, click the Trash icon next to the Output Column you want to delete.

  2. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete. You return to the Decision Table tab. The Output Column is deleted.
