Move a decision model variant between states
The assigned variant state controls whether the variant can be edited, added to an experiment, or whether the variant is in production. The allowed states that you can move a variant to depend on the current variant state. See the following sections for more details: Depending on the current decision model variant state, you can move a variant to a draft, test, production, or archived state.
To change the state of a decision model variant:

On the navigation menu, click Decisioning. A list of all decision models displays.

Click the name of the Decision Model that contains the decision model variant.

On the Decision Model page, the four potential states of a decision model variant display as panels.
Each decision model variant is represented by a tile. Click and drag the variant tile to the desired state:

Draft - this is the default state for newly created variants. To move a variant back into draft mode, drag the variant tile into the Draft column.

Test - drag the variant tile into the Test column and click Start test to begin testing.

Production - drag the variant tile into the Production. If other variants are already in production, the Change Audience Size window displays.

Archive - drag the variant tile into the Archive column to archive it. Once archived, you can click:

Clone - to create a copy of the archived variant.

View - to display a preview of the archived variant.

More - to search the archives by keyword or date range, if you have more than four archived variants.
