# What's new in Content SDK 1.5

Content SDK 1.5 introduces a secure preview mechanism for server components in [Design Studio](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/design-studio.html). This addresses recently identified issues ensuring AI‑generated variants can now be rendered correctly when using the App Router.

To update your existing Content SDK 1.4.1 application to 1.5:

1. In your existing application's `package.json` file, update every `@sitecore-content-sdk` package to version `1.5.0`.
2. Install the dependencies with the following command:

    ```shell
    npm install
    ```
