Assign a content resolver to a component
When you create a component (renderingrendering), you can use content resolvers to determine how to handle its data. When you publish the component, the resolver determines which related data is pushed to Experience Edge. Many components don't require a content resolver definition to render their data. If no resolver is assigned to a component, by default, its data source fields are rendered.
The following content resolvers are not supported in SitecoreAI. Do not use:
-
Resolvers in the Experience Accelerator folder.
-
The Sitecore Forms resolver.
-
Custom content resolvers.
To assign a content resolver to a component:
-
In the Content Editor, navigate to
Sitecore/Layout/Renderings/Feature/Headless Experience Accelerator. -
Open the folder that contains the component that you want to assign a resolver to, for example,
Navigation, and click the component. -
On the Content tab, in the Layout Service section, in the Rendering Contents Resolver field, click the drop-down arrow and select the resolver you want to assign. These are the supported resolvers:
-
Context Item Children Resolver
-
Context Item Resolver
-
Datasource Item Children Resolver
-
Datasource Resolver
-
Folder Filter Resolver
-
Navigation Contents Resolver
-
-
In the top-left corner, click Save.
