# Enabling Sitecore CMP and DAM in SitecoreAI

When you deploy an SitecoreAI environment, it automatically includes the Sitecore Connect for Content Hub connectors that allow you to connect to the Sitecore Content Management Platform (CMP) or Digital Asset Manager (DAM).

Before you can use the CMP and DAM functionality, you have to enable the connectors on your platform. You can enable the connectors on an environment deployed to SitecoreAI or for a [local SitecoreAI development environment based on Docker containers](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/developers/sitecoreai/using-docker-for-full-stack-development/set-up-your-full-stack-sitecoreai-local-development-environment.html "Set up your full-stack SitecoreAI local development environment").

The connectors are independent, and you can choose to enable both or just one of them.

When both CMP and DAM connectors are enabled, then both `Sitecore_ConnectionStrings_CMP_dot_ContentHub` and `Sitecore_ConnectionStrings_DAM_dot_ContentHub` environment variables must be added with valid values to avoid issues with the CMP sync functionality.
