# Media library

The legacy Media Library contains media items, such as images, documents, videos, and audio files.

> Experience Edge imposes a [restriction on media items](https://doc.sitecore.com/xmc/en/developers/xm-cloud/en/limitations-and-restrictions-of-experience-edge.html): to be published on Edge, an item must be no greater than 50 MB.

> To publish media items larger than 50 MB and up to 50 GB, use Sitecore Content Hub. You can integrate Sitecore Content Hub with SitecoreAI using the [Sitecore Connect for Content Hub connector](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/developers/sitecoreai/sitecore-connect-for-content-hub.html).

In the legacy Media Library, you can manage your media items, such as images that you want to embed in a webpage or make available for download by visitors. For example, in the legacy Media Library, you can:

- Keep all your media files in one place and organize them in a folder structure similar to the content tree.
- Navigate the content tree or use Sitecore’s search functionality to quickly find media items.
- Upload media files to the legacy Media Library.
- Make every media content item and media file versionable.
