# Convert a brief into a campaign

After developing your strategy in a brief, you can convert it into a campaign to begin execution. Converting a brief automatically transfers key information such as objectives, target audience, and milestone into a new campaign, ensuring consistency between planning and delivery.

> **Before you begin**
> Make sure the brief status is *Approved* before converting it.

To convert a brief into a campaign:

1. In the navigation menu, click **Strategy**. Then, in the left sidebar, select **Briefs**.
2. In the list of available briefs, click the approved brief that you want to convert.
3. On the brief details page, click **Create campaign**.

    A new campaign is automatically created and opened in **Campaigns**. The brief used for the conversion is linked to the campaign and appears on the [Briefs tab](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/plan-campaign-strategy/managing-campaigns/managing-campaigns.html#briefs).

4. After conversion, you can build out the campaign by doing the following:
