View, filter, and search profiles

The SitecoreAI Profiles page lets you view a list of your most recent site visitors and their individual profiles. You can filter for unidentified visitors and identified profiles, and you can search for a specific profile by using a client ID, a profile ID, or another identifier that your organization has an identity rule for. By clicking a specific profile, you can view details about the site visitor.

Before you begin

  • Review the difference between visitor and identified profile types.

View the profiles list

To view the list of your most recent profiles:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Performance.

  2. In the left-hand pane, select Profiles.

    A list of up to 100 most recent profiles appears.

    The overview section displays the number of all profiles, and how many of those are of type visitor and identified.

    In the profiles list, visitor profiles display as Anonymous. Identified profiles display by name if the name was captured by IDENTITY events, or by profile ID if the name is unavailable.

    For every profile, the list displays the date and time the site visitor was first seen and last seen.

  3. View the following information on the Profiles page:

    • Overview section - the number of all profiles, and how many of those are of type visitor and identified. Profile analytics are updated every 24 hours.

    • Profiles list - a list of profiles, where each row displays the following information:

      • Name or profile ID - visitor profiles display as Anonymous. Identified profiles display by name if the name was captured by IDENTITY events, or by profile ID if the name is unavailable.

      • Type - whether the profile is of type visitor or identified.

      • First seen - the date and time when the site visitor first interacted with your brand.

      • Last seen - the date and time when the site visitor last interacted with your brand.

  4. Click any row in the list to view the profile details.

Filter profiles by type

The profiles list displays both visitor and identified profiles by default. You can filter the list to display profile of only one type.

To filter profiles:

  1. On the Profiles page, locate the filter options to the right of the search field.

  2. Depending on the profile type you want to filter for, select one of the options:

    • All profiles - to display both visitor and identified profiles.

    • Identified - to display identified profiles only.

    • Visitors - to display visitor profiles only.

  3. Click any row in the list to view the profile details.

Search for a profile

You can search the profiles list to find a specific profile by client ID or profile ID, or by another identifier that your organization has an identity rule for.

To search for a profile:

  1. On the Profiles page, in the search field drop-down list, select the type of identifier you want to search by:

    • Client ID - search by a unique identifier (UUID) representing a specific device or session associated with a site visitor. You can retrieve this from the JSON data when viewing the profile details using inspect mode.

    • Profile ID - search by the site visitor's unique identifier. You can retrieve this from the JSON data when viewing the profile details using inspect mode.

    • Your organization's identifier - search by an identifier your organization has an identity rule for, such as Email address.

  2. In the search field, enter the full text you want to search for. For example, if you selected Email address in the previous step, enter the full email address such as [email protected].

    Important

    Partial search texts, such as jane.doe or email.com will not return search results.

    SitecoreAI returns a list of relevant matches.

  3. Click any row in the list to view the profile details.
