# Delete a custom agent

You can delete only the custom agents that you created in Agentic studio, such as [standard agents](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/understanding-agents/create-a-standard-agent.html "Create a standard agent") and [workflow agents](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/understanding-agents/create-a-workflow-agent.html "Create a workflow agent"). Prebuilt (out-of-the-box) [agents](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/understanding-agents/understanding-agents.html#available-agents "Understanding agents") cannot be deleted, but you can duplicate and modify them if you need a customized version.

> -   Deleting an agent is permanent and cannot be undone.

> -   If you want to keep a copy for reference, [duplicate the agent](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/understanding-agents/duplicate-an-agent.html "Duplicate an agent") before deleting it.

> **Before you begin**
> Make sure you have a [Builder License](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/agentic-studio-settings/manage-users.html#builder-license "Builder license"). This license is required to delete the custom agents you created in Agentic studio.

To delete a custom agent:

1. In the navigation menu, click **Agentic**.
2. In the left sidebar, click :mdiStarFourPointsBoxOutline: **Agents**.
3. On the **Agents** page, find the custom agent you want to delete.
4. Click the horizonal ellipsis icon :mdiDotsHorizontal: and select **Delete**.
5. In the confirmation dialog, click **Delete** again to confirm.

The selected agent is permanently removed from the **Agents** page.
