# Chat in a space

Each space includes built-in chat capabilities that let you refine outputs, request changes, and build on previous work over time. Conversations and artifacts are stored together, so you can return at any time without losing context. The AI uses this shared history to keep responses accurate and consistent.

## Start a chat within a space

To start a chat within a space:

1. In the navigation menu, click **Agentic** and then, in the left sidebar, click :mdiPlaylistCheck: **Spaces**.
2. On the **Spaces** page, locate the relevant space.

    You can use filters or search by title, agent name, or flow.

3. Click the space to open it.
4. Navigate to Chat interface at the bottom of the page. Continue the conversation with AI using the same [chat features and tools](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/understanding-chat/chat-features-and-tools.html "Chat features and tools") available in all Chat interfaces within Agentic studio.
5. Submit your request and review the response.
6. Continue the conversation as needed to refine outputs or perform additional tasks.

## Refine artifact content using chat

You can also interact directly with a specific artifact to refine or modify its output. Changes apply only to the selected artifact, allowing you to request updates, rewrites, expansions, or structural changes without affecting other artifacts in the space.
