# Delete a space

[Spaces](https://doc.sitecore.com/sai/en/users/sitecoreai/working-with-agentic-studio/understanding-spaces/understanding-spaces.html "Understanding spaces") help you organize and manage AI work in one place. A space is created automatically when you run an agent or you can create one manually for a specific task. You might no longer need a space and so you can delete it. Deleting a space *does not* delete artifacts or records; these are preserved.

To delete a space:

1. In the navigation menu, click **Agentic** and then, in the left sidebar, click :mdiPlaylistCheck: **Spaces**.
2. Click the space you want to delete.
3. In the upper right corner of the page, click :mdiTrashCanOutline: **Delete**.
