# @sitecore-cloudsdk/core

The [Cloud SDK `core`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sitecore-cloudsdk/core) package is for installing and initializing the Cloud SDK and initializing SDK packages and modules.

> You must [install and initialize the Cloud SDK](https://doc.sitecore.com/sdk/en/developers/005/cloud-sdk/cloud-sdk-reference/install-and-initialize-the-cloud-sdk.html "Install and initialize the Cloud SDK") before you can use any other Cloud SDK packages.

## Installation

After installation, import the package's [`browser`](https://doc.sitecore.com/sdk/en/developers/005/cloud-sdk/cloud-sdk-reference/cloud-sdk-core/cloud-sdk-core-browser.html "@sitecore-cloudsdk/core/browser") or [`server`](https://doc.sitecore.com/sdk/en/developers/005/cloud-sdk/cloud-sdk-reference/cloud-sdk-core/cloud-sdk-core-server.html "@sitecore-cloudsdk/core/server") module, then initialize the Cloud SDK by running the `CloudSDK` function.
