# @sitecore-cloudsdk/search

The [Cloud SDK `search`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sitecore-cloudsdk/search) package is for building Sitecore Search search experiences and capturing events that occur inside them.

> If you have created Sitecore Search integrations before, you might be familiar with the [Search and Recommendation API](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/developers/search-and-recommentation-api/index.html) and the [Events API](https://doc.sitecore.com/search/en/developers/events-api/index.html). The Cloud SDK `search` package makes requests to those REST APIs behind the scenes.

> The Cloud SDK simplifies the integration of search capabilities by providing a more declarative and developer-friendly interface to make search requests and implement tracking.

## Installation

> To use this package, you also have to install and initialize the `core` and `events` packages. For more information, see [Install and initialize the Cloud SDK](https://doc.sitecore.com/sdk/en/developers/005/cloud-sdk/cloud-sdk-reference/install-and-initialize-the-cloud-sdk.html "Install and initialize the Cloud SDK").
